Custom orders

Good morning,

Finished these custom made messenger bag and a coin pouch a little bit late than I was supposed to because of something that can't be avoided. So sorry to my client.

The bag is on its way to its owner, but since the owner can't seem to wait to see her new bag, I think it will be proper to show it here so that she can take a peek :) The bag has multi flat/flap pockets and 2 zippered pockets.

And as the triangular coin pouch, I hand-sewn the lining to the body rather than using the old way of exposing the hideous back haha!
Hope she'll like it. So sorry for the delay.

Am off to make some service giveaway prezzies...

Those beautiful moment in Cameron Highlands

Good morning,

We're supposed to settle down in Cameron Highlands but somehow, God forbid us to do so...or probably we didn't make a firm decision in moving to Cameron since KL obviously, is the gold mines where my husband's works and projects are based here (KL). But, the family love it there (Cameron), the weather, the environment, the's just something that we can't resist. A good place to bring up the kids and I can expand my seamstress career there...

Love to see our kids when their cheeks turn pink and their nose turn red during windy days :)
Oh well, I leave you guys with some of the memories in Cameron Highlands! We ♥ Cameron Highlands, and we'll sure be coming back!

From Cameron with ♥

We arrived safely in Brinchang at about 7pm and straight checked in into Chua Gin hotel. Along the way from Tapah to Cameron, it's raining on and off and we're kind of dizzy and nearly vomit in the cab because of the winding road. That will be our last time going up thru Tapah..! Haha...

And so after a short rest in the hotel, we went out for our dinner. Sighs. Nothing was interesting to eat here in Brinchang, we can count by fingers Malay stalls here, and what more disappointing some of it was serve and handle by Bangladesh-ian. Gosh. So, we headed to go to the food court and ordered some chicken satay. Our kids love satay and hubby ordered Siam dishes for both of us (kailan ikan masin, ayam masak merah and telur dadar). The taste...sighs. But different people have different tastes. So, I will not comments anything on the tastes, okay.

This is the satay stall. The Siam dishes was ordered from a stall next to this stall.
Look at Hadif...hehe

Nas and Erisa enjoying their satay, the satay was alright but kind of expensive!

Just showing you the satay in the making process

Harraz, the picky eater!

Naydee (Enaydia)...feeling tired!
After dinner, we toured around the Brinchang town. It's a small town as you know and nothing much to see. The night was cold and windy. There are massive development just outside the town with shop lots and all still under constructions.

After that, we went back to the hotel. And since the TV receptions are bad, but there are Astro channels (AXN and Chinese channel), both are not very interesting to we went to bed kind of early.

These are the views from our hotel room that I managed to capture at about 8-9am the next morning.

Thats all for now...will update more later! Bye!

Have a nice weekends!!

Yesterday - by Roy Clark

Good morning,

A nice song to remind us on how have we wasted our life the past years.

Yesterday when I was young
the taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongue.
I teased at life as if it were a foolish game,
the way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame.

The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned
I always built to last on weak and shifting sand.
I lived by night and shunned the naked light of the day
and only now I see how the years ran away.

Yesterday when I was young
so many happy songs were waiting to be sung.
So many wild pleasures lay in store for me
and so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to see.

I ran so fast that time and youth at last ran out,
I never stopped to think what life was all about
and every conversation I can now recall
concerned itself with me and nothing else at all.

Yesterday the moon was blue
and every crazy day brought something new to do.
I used my magic age as if it were a wand
and never saw the waste and emptiness beyond.

The game of love I played with arrogance and pride
and every flame I lit too quickly quickly died.
The friends I made all seemed somehow to drift away
and only I am left on stage to end the play.
There are so many songs in me that won't be sung,
I feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongue.
The time has come for me to pay for yesterday.. when I was young.

Hope we will fill our lives with positive and meaningful things in the future!

Owen Office bag - custom order by a client from Sabah

Good morning,

I finished this bag last night. I must say, this is one of the best craftsmanship so far this year :) I am so proud.

The bag are fully interfaced with medium weight fusible interfacing. The bag have 2 handles, handheld and detachable shoulder strap. There are 4 bellow pockets outside and 3 bellow pockets inside with 2 pen slots.

I used Korea lawn for the exterior and English cotton in black with white polka dots.

I have received  fabrics from 2 of my service giveaway winners :) I was thinking about sharing those lovely fabrics here but, then I decided to share the details after all fabrics have turn into their choices of bags! You'll be drooling...I promise!

Okay girls, have a nice day today. And smile!

Sew-Along (gathering materials)

Good morning,

Remember that I am joining the Sew-Along by MyBotang? It's in now in gathering materials week. So, now I wanted to show you what fabrics I'll be using in the Sew-Along.

I'll be using the floral prints in swiss cotton for the exterior and the black base in white polka dots English cotton will be the bias binding and most probably be the lining as well, not very sure. I'm going to use wooden button for closure (at the moment) as I don't have tools to make fabric covered button or other method for now...And will also use interfacing for all pieces, not including the bias binding, of course!

If I change my mind along the way, will update it here. I will also not going to use the batting/flannel stuff, as I don't like bulky bag.

Okay, you all, have a nice day today!!

Good morning,

Uh-oh. I received these two from abx courier...well, actually it's from Aimila, my swap partner from Sew-and-Crafty swap, organize by Zura (Sew Retro Chic).

It's a Bento bag with drawstring style and a patchy pincushion. Aimila was worried with her delay and sewing skill since she had to sew for me. Aih, Aimila, I'm also not very good in sewing, still a lot of stuff to learn in this industry :) So don't worry, am not judging you in any way. Okay?

I love the color combination. Love the fabrics as well. Where did you buy the fabrics, Aimila? The Bento bag is now officially Erisa's, she wants to take her school lunch in the bag!

And as for the pincushion, it's mine! Haha...I've been wanting to make this pincushion for quite some time now, and luckily I received one from you Aimila. Yay! Both hand made I received in this green shoe box, and guess what, I love the box as well...haha...I'm collecting shoe boxes to store all my ribbons, laces and threads!

Thanks you Aimila for the effort and beautiful hand made you made for me :) Keep sharpen your sewing skill and you'll be a professional seamstress in no time!!!

Thanks Zura for organizing the Sew-and-Crafty swap.

Another petite wristlet complete!

Good morning,

Hah...this was really fast! I always knew that making zipper pouch only takes about 1/2 hour to finish but the biggest problem that delays everything was to align the zipper and fabric when sewing the 4 corners (after attaching the zipper to both fabrics). Often I had to unpick the stitches! Urgh...

This time, the petite wristlet is using flat pocket inside, better and nicer :) And I hand sewn the opening with ladder stitch.

I'm not sure the exterior material is from what kind of fabric. What I know it is an expensive fabric (about RM75/m) and soft, sheer and it is kind of 'berkedut' no matter how hard you iron it (hehe...lupa perkataan berkedut tu in English panggil apa...please refresh me, anyone!) and the lining is using swiss cotton in abstract/random prints.

Fully interfaced, a wooden bead is attached on the zipper pull with cotton string...

The inside view
Both wristlets are in-stock, grab it...grab's only RM15 with delivery :)

Custom made petite wristlet...Done.

Good evening,

Finished this petite wristlet today, actually there's more but only this one 'completed'. This is a custom made HP wristlet. Since my client wanted to put her hand phone and coins/money inside the pouch, so, I guess I better put a pocket inside so that her phone won't scratch. The pocket is of course, bellow pocket :).

All pieces are interfaced for stability and using Korea lawn for lining and English cotton for the exterior. The size is about 11cm x 15cm. There's a few wristlet for her to choose actually and hoping to be able to upload before sending one out to her ;)

This petite wristlet is RM15 inclusive postage. Please e-mail me or SMS me for more details/query. compare the size

A bellow pocket inside
I also attached a cotton string and a wooden bead to its zipper :)

That's all, got to finished sewing more wristlets and Owen Office tote bag now...bye!

...sharing some beautiful music - Beauty Club (Pim Zaza)

Good afternoon,

Both me and husband recently often visit to search for old songs and today, we stumbled upon this song by Pim Zaza from Beauty Club album back to 2003, during the first visit to Haadyai where we bought our first Thais CDs. We completely fell in love with the music and ever since that day, every time we managed to go to Haadyai, we will definitely not miss buying few CDs from various artists that produce nice and interesting music.

So far, we like Korean song, Thais, English and some old Malay song.
We have shared few songs over our facebook wall. So, you can drop by our wall to listen to them. They are all really nice songs, I promise!

So, this is our first love in Thai song...Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Have a nice holiday today!
