...and later today I've made a phone pouch for myself

The hand phone case

...and of course, when I'm in a mood for sewing, I sew something for myself. It's more of creating new pattern for my shop. And this time a hand phone pouch. And since my phone is bare naked, I've decide to dress up my hand phone. And hey, the case actually fits my camera as well! Ha...
It's just a simple case with no handle. I don't think I'm the kind of person who carry around my phone with its handle, I prefer to carry it in my bag. Low profile, no, more to phobia freak!!
Okay, enough about that, my hand phone case use magnetic button for closure and its size is boxy (really addicted to boxy style nowadays ever since I've made the organizer :))
And I use a heavy weight fabric and cotton canvas for lining...also I insert an interfacing. And after about 2 hours (if chasing my kids around is not count) of measure, cutting and it is...DONE!
The fabric color matched my hand phone charms! Don't you think? What a coincident!!

Today I made a wallet for my daughter

Hello all,

I just received my fabric ordered online...It was fun shopping online, no wonder people like it so much! But we just have to be careful not to over spend our money, ya :)
It was a special fabric for my daughter's wallet, a tote bag and an organizer for her teacher who just gave birth to a baby girl about two months ago.
This wallet is basically a pattern from my shop, Zana-rin, unisex wallet for kids. Ever since I've made some wallets for my customers, my kids especially my daughter keep on asking me to make one for her, it's just that I don't have the right fabric for it...
So, when I received the fabric, I measured, cut and start sewing immediately, and hopefully to finished it before she got back from school...And yes, it was done perfectly on time...Yay!
She showed no emotion when I told her that I've made a wallet for her (typical her) but slowly, she start to searched for some coins, Ringgit note and since she don't have any cards, she wrote something a piece of A4 paper...fold it and put it in one of the card slot. And kept on talking about the wallet hours now...:)
Oh, let me tell you more about the wallet. It has 2 slot for cards, one slot for coins and one slot for note. I use a magnetic button for closure. interfacing and a stripey fabric for lining. Oh, and I also sew 2 novelty buttons on the coin slot for a more girlish detail.

Introducing new product at my shop

Hello there...Just want to introduce the new product in little-iro-iro. It's DEANNA- a messenger bag. This bag use swiss cotton prints fabric for the exterior and upholstery fabric for the lining. The swiss cotton print fabric is super soft so I had to lined it with another cotton fabric to make it easy to sew. I use nylon webbing for the adjustable handle and sew the same swiss cotton design on the webbing to create the 3D effect which I like very much!!

There is also a zippered pocket on the inside of the bag and this bag comes also with its own organizer which is in the making :)

As for the closure, I use velcro and was thinking of using magnetic button as well...Hmmm...Do let me know what you all think of the new product, ya! That's all for tonight. Sweet dream!

Gifts I've made on my daughter's Birthday

It''s basically the same. Using the pillowbox template and I attached a ribbon and a flower bead and also some wording and here goes, special something for all her 29 classmates + 1 teacher. I add some choclairs and fruit Plus sweets (both are my children's favourite!).

Gifts I made for Teacher's Day

It has been a while since my last post. I just want to update on gifts that I've made for my daughter's teachers on Teacher's Day. I download a pillowbox pattern from Skip To My Lou's blog (thanks for sharing!) and I paste a 'Selamat Hari Guru' on it. I put in some choclair sweets in it. I wish I could do more, which I could, but it just that it had been a very lazy weeks for me for the past weeks. Lazy to sew, lazy to upload post and lazy...lazy...lazy...

Gosh, I hope it doesn't happen very often, though. I hate it when I'm not sewing.

Okay, Happy Teacher's Day, hope all teachers work very hard to teach the children of future generations and not to forget, please teach some good manners to them too!
